Plain Language

Wavefront Centre offers Plain Language service where we take written information that is complex and make it easier to understand to reach a more diverse audience.

Plain language is writing designed to ensure the reader understands as quickly, easily and completely as possible. Plain language should be easy to read, understand and use. It avoids verbose, convoluted language and jargon. Plain language is also called plain writing or plain English or plain French. We test our translations in several ways to make sure they are easy to understand.

Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility is committed to create a barrier-free environment for our staff, clients and visitors. We acknowledge that our work takes place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility is the operating name for Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, a registered charitable organization. Charitable Registration Number #108200098RR0001
