Darelene Chic

Director

Darlene Chic brings more than 25 years of experience in financial planning to her role as Regional Trust Advisor for clients across Vancouver Regions, Sunshine Coast to Whistler, Richmond, and Vancouver Island. Her depth of experience, coupled with her professionalism and dedication to client service, serves her well in dealing with the complexities of estate settlement.

Darlene can discuss estate settlement and administration services, trustee services, trust structures, and other specialized services offered through RBC Royal Trust. She works with individuals, families and businesses who wish to protect their assets and transfer their wealth for generations. Clients also appreciate her sensitivity to the often difficult decisions and sometimes overwhelming responsibilities that can go hand in hand with the role of executor.

Throughout her career, Darlene has continued to deepen her knowledge and expertise with key industry designations such as the Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP), and courses including Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) and Branch Compliance Officer (BCO). A sought-after contributor to estate planning councils across the province, she is in the process of becoming a member of the Victoria Estate Planning Council, and is a former member of the Fraser Valley Estate Planning Council and the Kelowna Estate Planning Council.

Darlene will provide a tailored solution to help individuals carry out their many executor duties, expedite the settlement process, and maximize the estate’s value through knowledgeable handling of estate and tax issues. Darlene provides service to clients in English and, where needed, works with team members who can assist clients in Cantonese and Mandarin.
