DeafBlindness is a combination of hearing and vision loss, which can range from mild to severe and affects each individual differently. Needs vary depending on the type of deafness and blindness, communication preferences, age of onset, and lifestyle.
Without proper support, DeafBlind individuals often face social isolation, communication challenges, and limited access to information and mobility.
Wavefront Centre’s DeafBlind program provides intervenor services, connecting individuals with professionals who facilitate communication and provide environmental information about the world around them.
We also offer a variety of workshops as well as opportunities for socialization and community outings to foster connection and independence.
