Director, Programs & Community Engagement

For more than 30 years, Tracey has worked and advocated for breaking down barriers to inclusion and she was thrilled to join Wavefront Centre in early 2023. Tracey’s ties to BC’s Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing communities are strong, having worked for BC Deaf Sports Federation, Vancouver Community College’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Department, Deaf Children’s Society, and as a Registered Sign Language Interpreter and tutor.

Tracey has a Masters in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership and is a graduate of UBC’s Centre for the Study of Democratic Institutions. Tracey began her career in journalism and later worked as a copywriter and account executive for advertising agencies in Vancouver and Halifax. In her spare time, she continues to work as a freelance writer and editor.
