Staff Interpreter

I graduated from UVIC, with a BA in psychology. I then graduated from Douglas College’s Interpreter Education Program in 2013 and worked predominantly as a freelance interpreter in BC, Alberta, and Manitoba. Over the years I have moved around 24 times (so far), and I’ve lived in three different countries!

In August of 2022, I began working as a Staff ASL-English Interpreter for Wavefront Centre. My day typically involves going to different sites to provide communication access for our hearing, Hard of Hearing, Deaf, and DeafBlind clients. I have experience working in medical and business settings, as well as mental health, post secondary, and K-12.

In my role, I love that I have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of amazing people, while also being able to explore this beautiful city. When I am not working, I am often spending time with my family and friends, or with my nose in a book.
