About Us

Our expert team of Registered Audiologists/Hearing Instrument Practitioners have a long history of providing excellence in hearing health care.

About Us

Our philosophy is to work with each individual to develop a personalized hearing rehabilitation program that best fits your hearing needs, lifestyle, support network, and budget. We believe in a no-pressure approach because the decision to purchase hearing aids is deeply personal to each person’s circumstances.

Our Hearing Aid Clinics fit all brands of hearing aids, do not give preferential treatment to any particular hearing aid brand, and operate independently from hearing aid manufacturers. We also believe that the use of a hearing aid is only one part of the process to helping you better cope with your hearing loss. Our clinicians will also work with you to discuss strategies to better manage your hearing loss, and encourage you to enroll in aural rehabilitation speech reading classes. Wavefront Centre offers free monthly classes to our clients who obtain a hearing aid from us.

We also serve all clients including clients from:

  • WorkSafeBC
  • Veterans Affairs Canada
  • Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction
  • Inter-Tribal Health Authority
  • Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations
  • Private extended health coverage

What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?

Camping – Green Lake, Beautiful B.C.

I LOVE to Camp, especially off the grid – the less modern technology, the better.

I grew up with a profound hearing loss – my daughter was 21 years old when I heard her voice for the first time with the aid of a Cochlear implant. Since then, I love to be in nature and listen to the sounds of water, birds chirping and raindrops falling. Time away from technology leaves me refreshed, rejuvenated and grateful for the gift of hearing. At Wavefront Centre, I’m fortunate to work with the Audiology Drop-in Program. I clean hearing aids, troubleshoot and do minor repairs. I love client work and find myself inspired each day by clients’ stories of living with hearing loss.

What is your favourite food?

Impossible question! I love food and am notoriously NOT a picky eater, which I credit to my time living in a dorm room.

I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta but am proud to call myself a Vancouverite since moving to this beautiful city in 2010. The best part of my job as an audiologist is when clients and their families tell me how much better they can communicate after coming to Wavefront. I enjoy getting to know people from all walks of life and hearing their stories – I look forward to meeting you too!

What is your favourite thing about working at Wavefront Centre?

Working with such an amazing and collaborative team!

I grew up on the east coast in Nova Scotia and graduated from the audiology program at the University of Western Ontario in 2020. After graduation I made my way to the west coast. I am thrilled to be a part of Wavefront and to help people reach their communication goals. When I am not working, you can find me on the ski slopes or exploring new hikes that Vancouver has to offer!

What is your favourite thing about working at Wavefront Centre?

Having the chance to work with such great people! All of the staff at Wavefront inspire me everyday to be the best clinician I can be.

I was born in Croatia and moved with my parents to Canada when I was five years old. Growing up, I would spend most of the year on Vancouver Island, going to school and enjoying all the beauty of the West Coast, and in the summer, I would go back to Croatia to spend time on the Adriatic coast and enjoy quality time with my extended family. I was truly lucky to have the best of both worlds. Clinically, I believe in a patient-centered and collaborative hearing healthcare model and I enjoy helping my patients achieve all their hearing health goals.

One of my goals as an audiologist is to help others maintain their social relationships through communication. I am lucky to be starting my career at Wavefront Centre and work with an amazing team. Outside of work, I spend my time at the beach or trying new hikes.

What is your favourite thing about working at Wavefront Centre?

My favourite thing about working for Wavefront is the patient centered model that is championed by all the clinicians and the collaborative working space that everyone fosters!

I am a West Coast girl at heart being born and raised in Vancouver; and after a short stint on the East Coast at The University of Western Ontario where I graduated with my masters in audiology I returned home to start my career as an audiologist. I am so excited to be working at Wavefront to help my clients achieve their communication goals. When I am not in clinic you can find me hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter!

What is your favourite thing about working at Wavefront Centre?

I enjoy the diversity of clients and the additional challenges and learning that come from that client enhanced client interaction.

David studied Advanced Sound/Video engineering from 1989 to 1992. Spending many years applying that knowledge in the music and video production industries finally finding Audiometric testing as a contractor for WorkSafeBC for 8 years. David developed an interest in audiology during that time choosing to later spend a year in the Hearing Instrument Practitioner Program at McEwan University in Alberta and then graduating in 2019 after two years from the Douglas College Hearing Instrument Practitioner Program. His passion is helping others and as a Hearing Instrument Practitioner / Musician / Race Car Driver has dealt with his own hearing issues for many years. Its through this personal knowledge of the struggles that come with hearing loss that David has developed a great interest in helping others overcome their own personal hearing issues.
