Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility is moving forward with a renewed organizational strategy designed to strengthen our financial health, diversify our work and position the organization for long-term success.
Organizations across the charitable and disability-service sectors are navigating rising costs, changing funding models, and growing demand. Wavefront Centre is responding proactively through a multifaceted approach that combines responsible cost management with new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
We are reorganizing our operations, diversifying our revenue, developing new partnerships, and pursuing opportunities to expand the impact our services provide to individuals, their families and employers, and the broader set of community stakeholders they engage with daily. We are also welcoming new organizations and tenants into our building, bringing new faces, expertise, and possibilities for collaboration into our shared space.
As part of this strategic direction, we are heavily prioritizing the recruitment of Deaf and DeafBlind members to our Board of Directors and working to develop an Advisory Council to ensure the voices and lived experience of the communities we serve help strengthen our governance and shape our decisions and future direction.
These changes reflect responsible stewardship and commitment to Wavefront Centre’s future. We are initiating new approaches, building stronger partnerships, and ensuring our resources are directed where they can create the greatest impact.
Wavefront Centre has evolved throughout its 70-year history while remaining firmly grounded in its mission. We enter this next chapter with clarity, optimism and an enduring commitment to advancing communication accessibility.
Community support will continue to be essential to this work.
